	Sol Y Mar Pioneers New Valley This is to announce that on the occasion of the World Tourism Day, the management of Sol Y Mar Hotels & Resorts has received from the Ministry of Tourism Mr. Ahmed El Maghraby the "Certificate of Appreciation" award for the remarkable efforts in promoting tourism in Egypt and the best environmental friendly hotel. Sol Y Mar Pioneers is a deluxe desert hotel situated in Al Kharga oasis, it is a true adventure base hotel and it ties all the wonders of the western desert. 	Renaming of Makadi and Coraya Resorts into “Madinat Makadi” and “Madinat Coraya” Due to the rapid progressive development of the diverse facilities, services and leisure activities of Makadi and Coraya Resorts, the two resorts have been renamed to “Madinat Makadi” and “Madinat Coraya”. The word “Madinat” means the "city of", this name was chosen to bring to light the fact that each of the two resorts has grown up to become an all encompassing destination of its own. Also, the shopping center in Madinat Makadi was renamed to “Souk Makadi” instead of Makadi center, the word “Souk” means "shopping center"; Madinat Coraya also has its own large shopping center “Markez Coraya”, the word “Markez” means center, where you will find almost everything you are going to need during your holiday of a lifetime ……at your ultimate “Madinats”.

	Daimler Chrysler Egypt at Sol Y Mar Club Makadi Daimler Chrysler Egypt has recently celebrated launching the first 2005 Jeep Cherokee Renegade at Sol Y Mar Club Makadi. The hotel is ideally situated in the wonderful Makadi Bay, about 30 km south of Hurghada. 	Palm Planting Ceremony at Sol Y Mar Makadi Marine On the occasion of their fifth visit to the hotel, the Schweiger family attended their Palm planting ceremony. The celebration took place at the hotel pool area, where the hotel staff carried the palm tree and planted it with the participation of the whole family near their preferred room which they have stayed in since their first visit to the hotel. A bottle of sparkling wine and canapés provided the finishing touch to help celebrating this event in recognition of their loyalty. 	Sol Y Mar Paradise Beach Wins Environmental Awards The Sol Y Mar Paradise Beach in Safaga has recently been awarded the "Silver Cristal Plaque" in recognition of its achievements in obtaining excellent results of hygiene. This distinctive award was granted to the hotel for implementing the polices of the Cristal Programme successfully based on the principles of the HACCP system. It is worth mentioning that the hotel has taken extra efforts in providing its guests with the safest possible environment to enjoy their holiday. It was also selected as a 'Safaga Resort Winner' in the Check Safety First 'Global Awards' 2004.
